    Usually you will find registry keys, which are the entries in the left hand pane. Whereas the values are at the right side pane. If you remove the keys created by the viruses that will remove its associated values. Only sometimes viruses, modify existing keys, at that time you need to change the value accordingly. If you right click on the changed value, you get an option to “modify” which lets you change it

    would you mind elaborating further on the ‘data items’ to the right hand side of the registry folder hierarchy?
    i’ve had a look and there seems to be several choices/ options such as: ‘key, string value, binary value’ etc etc.
    what are their purpose, differences…
