May 8th, 2010 Jesse No comments

It can be a difficult and annoying experience, and indeed often makes you wonder which way to turn when you get a runtime error in Windows XP on your personal computer. A large number of people haven’t got a clue what is to blame for these problems and how they can be solved. It can be very expensive to hire professional help, so first study this brief how-to guide since it will teach you a simple method to remedy these problems in just a few minutes.

Before we begin, let me give you a quick background so that you’ll know why these irritating troubles appear on your pc at all. In the majority of cases runtime errors are the result of a ‘contaminated’ or damaged registry system – this is the place where windows tracks what happens on your pc, in other words, whenever you add, remove, or upgrade your software or hardware, it is being registered by your windows.

This registration process includes all kinds of information; sections of it contain the links that let windows know where the files that manage your assorted software/hardware applications are situated. An incomplete software installation or its improper removal in some cases can result in damaged links in your registry system, so windows can no longer control that software or a part of it, and as a consequence, you might end up with a runtime error in Windows XP and assorted other troubles, including slow response, .dll errors, the dreaded blue screen, and more. Problems like this are simple enough to solve if you happen to be a professional and you are comfortable “playing” with your windows registry, for most non-professionals, it’s not wise to try to do this alone – it’s very easy to make matters worse!

Luckily, there is a simple and risk-free way to remedy a runtime error in Windows XP even though you may not be a whiz at computers – a professional registry fix software is your answer. This is a simple and efficient way of finding a variety of errors on your pc and automatically repairing them for you in a very short period of time. As most of these solutions offer free scans and even free fixes, now is the time to download such a utility and put it to work scanning and fixing those annoying errors.

How can I fix my computer that freezes at login?

I have a Dell Inspirion 1520 laptop. The operating system is Windows XP Home Editon. I can not login into my computer. Once I reach the login screen it freezes. I went into Safe Mode, and ran my virus program (StopZilla) and deleted the virus listed but the same problem continues. I have used CC Cleaner to fix any registry errors as well. A message in safe mode pops up saying “Generic Host Process for Win32 Services could not operate”.
